Mike's lost a few steps -- along with the ring finger on his left hand -- but has made it up in wiliness and wisdom. In many ways, Mike Sr. is the heart and soul of the new Adventure team, keeping them in touch with their heritage, both good and bad, and with the spirit of adventure that the team is dedicated to.

There are fewer frontiers in the World today. Fewer places that aren't tamed and safe. Mike respects the men who have pushed those boundaries back, and is grateful for their accomplishments, but is a little sad that the wilder world of his youth is disappearing.

But Mike knows that, as long as there are people, there will be frontiers that to be pushed back, and extraordinary men and women doing that work who will at times need the help and protection of the Adventure team.
